The Asang Nsit Area Development Association (ANADA) on Wednesday, 8th October 2025, held its annual Students’ Incentive Programme to celebrate academic excellence and encourage educational advancement among students within the Asang Nsit area.
The event, which took place at the Asang Community Hall, Obiokpok Nsit, at 1:00 p.m., featured the recognition and empowerment of twelve outstanding students drawn from four public secondary schools in the area. The beneficiary schools included Apostolic Secondary School, Ikot Oku Nsit; Community Comprehensive High School, Obo Atai; Unity Model School, Obontong; and Community Secondary School, Oboetim Ikot Ekong.
Three students from each of the schools were honoured for their exceptional performance in the last academic session. Each recipient received a brand-new school bag, three textbooks in core subjects (Mathematics, English, and General Studies), a dozen exercise books, pens, and a complete mathematical set.

The occasion, chaired by Bishop Dr Udofia, was marked by warmth, inspiration, and moments of reflection. In his opening remarks, the Chancellor of ANADA, Obong Ime Akpan, commended the students for their diligence and encouraged them to remain good ambassadors of Asang Nsit, their families, their schools and society at large. He reaffirmed the association’s commitment to continuous educational support, stating that ANADA would continue to extend assistance within the limits of its available resources.

In his keynote address, Bishop Udofia enlightened the audience on the vision and objectives of ANADA, emphasising the importance of education as a tool for transformation. He urged parents to spread the message of ANADA’s developmental initiatives across all communities within Asang Nsit and advised the students to remain focused, study diligently, and pursue excellence with faith and determination.

Earlier, Pastor Nseabasi Uko, who presented the students to the Chairman and the Crown Council, highlighted the merit-based nature of the selection process. He noted that the beneficiaries were nominated by their respective schools purely on academic performance and moral standing.
Delivering a goodwill message, Mr Umoh, a teacher from Apostolic Secondary School, Ikot Oku Nsit, expressed gratitude to ANADA for the gesture, describing it as a noble step towards promoting education in the area. He prayed for divine grace and continuous progress for the association.
The event concluded with the formal presentation of educational materials to the beneficiaries, symbolising ANADA’s unwavering commitment to nurturing young talents and inspiring a culture of excellence within Asang Nsit and beyond.
